KOMAL KAUR
Independent for Franklin Township School Board (FTCSC)
Every Kid Seen. Every Family Heard.

#VoteKomal
From Kitley to Franklin Central, this district is home.
I’m running for Franklin Township School Board because I believe our schools should be places where every student has the opportunity to succeed, every family feels heard, and every frontline worker has the support they need to do their best work.
As a social worker, therapist, and community member, I know that strong communities are built by listening, asking hard questions, and bringing people together around solutions.
I’m running as an independent because our school board should be focused on students, families, educators, and our community, not partisan politics.
Campaign Priorities
FUND THE FRONTLINES
Put resources where students experience school every day.
Responsible financial stewardship and strong schools go hand in hand. I want to make sure our resources are reaching the classrooms, educators, and support staff who directly impact students, while looking for smarter ways to use partnerships and resources within our own community to build a strong Franklin Township ecosystem.
EMPOWER FAMILIES
Make families partners in their children’s education.
Families should not have to navigate a complicated system alone or struggle to find the information and resources they need. I want to strengthen communication between our schools and families and create more meaningful opportunities for families to be heard, informed, and involved outside of timed school board meetings.
SUPPORTED TRANSITIONS
Prepare students for what comes next.
A student’s education doesn't happen in isolated chapters. We need stronger support as students move from elementary to middle school, middle to high school, and eventually from high school into college, trades, careers, or whatever path they choose. That means building clearer pathways, stronger partnerships, mentorship opportunities, internships, and connections throughout our township.
THIS CAMPAIGN IS ABOUT ALL OF US.
I don't believe any one person has every answer.
I believe in listening to educators.
I believe in listening to families.
I believe in listening to students.
I believe in listening to our community.
I believe our schools are part of a larger ecosystem.
Our businesses, educators, families, community organizations, and students all have something to contribute.
