Empower Families

Make families partners, not passengers.

Families know their children better than anyone. They should feel welcomed, informed, and equipped to participate in their child's education, not like they have to figure out the system on their own.

Empowering families means making it easier to understand what's happening, know what resources are available, ask questions, and have a meaningful voice in their child's education.

Make Information Easier to Navigate

School systems can be complicated. Between school policies, academic supports, special education, mental health resources, extracurriculars, transportation, and community services, families can easily feel overwhelmed.

I want to explore ways to make information more accessible and easier to navigate, so families know where to go, who to ask, and what support is available without having to already know how the system works.

Build Stronger Family Partnerships

Family engagement should be more than attending a conference or receiving an email.

I want to explore more opportunities for families to share what they're experiencing, understand how decisions affect their children, and participate in conversations about their schools.

My work in grassroots community aid has taught me that people engage when they feel heard and when there is a clear path to getting help. Our schools should make that path easier to find.

Connect Schools to the Community

Our schools don't exist in isolation. Franklin Township already has families, businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, PTOs, and other groups doing incredible work.

I want to help strengthen those connections so families aren't left trying to piece together support on their own.

The goal isn't for schools to solve every problem. It's to make sure families know what support exists and that the people and organizations around our students can work together.
